Fabricator

Location: Durham (Peterlee site)
Pay Rate: £19.55 – £26.39 per hour

Fabricators are required for a long-term assignment based in Peterlee, working within a modern, high‑quality manufacturing environment.

This Fabricator role offers competitive pay rates, regular overtime, monthly bonuses and the opportunity to develop skills in a safety‑critical, quality‑driven operation producing heavy‑duty equipment for global markets.

This is a 2‑year agency contract, with one month’s notice.

Role Overview – Fabricator

The successful Fabricator will be responsible for carrying out fabrication and assembly work to tight tolerances, following standard work instructions and operating from build and assembly fixtures.

The role requires a strong focus on quality, safety and teamwork, within a structured manufacturing environment.

What’s Required

• Proven fabrication or assembly experience
• Ideally experience within a heavy manufacturing or engineering environment
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (or relevant time-served experience)
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Pay & Hours

• 36.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
• 3‑shift rotating system
• Shift rates: £19.55 – £26.39 per hour
• Overtime available
• Monthly performance and attendance bonuses

Skills Test

• All applicants must successfully pass a fabrication skills test prior to offer
• A £150 trade test payment will be made once the test is passed and the successful candidate has started in the role
